Understanding Your Style: Part 4 of 6: Morning or Night Person
Part 4 of 6: Understanding Your Style - Morning or Night Person
Tap into your energy peaks for greater success and less stress. See which of the following best describes you:
Morning Person
You wake up feeling alert and chipper
You are quick to get up and get going
You are one of those people who likes to talk in the morning
You get your best work done early when others are sleeping or just climbing out of bed
You have lots of ideas and are thinking most clearly in the morning (and possibly into early afternoon)
By late afternoon and early evening your brain and body are spent and if someone wants you to talk about or do something challenging you feel like a deer caught in headlights
Night Person
Your deepest or best sleep is in the morning
It is hard for you to get up
“There’s no life before coffee,” is often heard by these people
You are slow to get going
Don’t give you anything hard to do first thing after you wake up or for a couple of hours or more, if at all possible
And please no talkative people first thing in the morning
You get revved up as the day goes on
By afternoon or evening you are hitting your most productive time
When everyone else has called it a day you are still going
You don’t fade until late at night
Use your natural body energy and mental focus patterns to help set yourself up to succeed by using the knowledge of your highest energy and best focus times to know when to tackle more challenging organizational tasks. Leave easier decision making and organizing tasks for times when you don’t need as much vitality. By simply doing this you will find yourself accomplishing more, with less effort and stress.
