Inspiration Series: Part 10 of 10: Inspiration From Vacation Rentals

My husband and I love to get away for a week or two each year, typically picking a condo on a beautiful Florida beach as our destination. Over the years we’ve stayed at many different places and I’ve always enjoyed looking at how each place is arranged and decorated and how storage needs are handled within the footprint of these smaller spaces. As an organizer I can't help noticing what flows efficiently and what doesn’t and I often find myself doing some rearranging of a chair for a better view or changing the placement of things in the kitchen cabinets to work better for my food storage and preparation methods during our stay. Each vacation reminds my husband and I that we truly need very little stuff to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. We find we are happier and more active with less stuff to keep up with. This scenic detour inspires us to come home and get rid of more worldly goods and helps assure us we truly won’t miss the things we donate to others.
