Part 2 of 6: Understanding Your Style - To See or Not to See

Learning to understand your style and the styles of those you dwell with will increase your success and bring more peace and joy during your organizing ventures. Which style are you?

To See:

  • You like to be able to see your things

  • You feel you may lose them or forget where they are if they are put out of sight

  • Seeing a lot of things at the same time doesn’t bother you

  • Having a lot of things out and about not only doesn’t bother you but it may even energize you

  • You find things by seeing them more than by thinking about them and where they might be

Not to See:

  • You like things put behind doors, in drawers and in containers

  • Having too much out disrupts your peace

  • It is hard for you to function or think clearly when there is too much visual stimulation or clutter

  • You can put your things out of sight and usually remember where they are

  • You may find yourself cleaning up a space before you can sit down and start on something

If you live with people who’s to see or not to see style is opposite yours than seeking some give and take and balance between these two styles will be helpful to increase harmony in the home.
