Inspiration Series : Part 5 of 10: Inspiration From TV

HGTV (Home & Garden Television) and DIY Network (Do It Yourself Network) which is becoming Magnolia Network are two TV locations where you can get great home ideas from experts in the field. Shows on these stations unveil ideas that are current, creative and inspirational and cover so many different aspects of improving your home. They deal with common problems homeowners have and give solutions. It’s easy to find shows that are just right for the stage you are in. Recording these shows allows one to pause where you want to study what was done and even photograph an idea to catalog for future reference. Seeing other people’s issues (i.e. too much stuff, not organized) in the before-work-is-done phase and (i.e. pared-down and organized) in the after-work-is-finished segments can help one see new possibilities. Just remember to pick ideas that are practical for you to implement.  Don’t get bogged down with what isn’t doable for you. Just focus on the next positive step you can take to move toward your goal.

In the upcoming parts of this series we’ll explore:

  • Part 6 - Inspiration from Magazines

  • Part 7 - Inspiration from Model Homes

  • Part 8 - Inspiration from Realtor Websites

  • Part 9 - Inspiration from Homes of Others

  • Part 10 - Inspiration from Vacation Rentals
